Dr. Sandy Lockwood is a distinguished ceramicist specialising in salt glazed wood fired ceramics. The complex web of weathered textures, patterns and colours ubiquitous to the landscape of the Southern Highlands where her studio is located, strongly informs her work. Her works are a dance, or perhaps a conversation with clay that seeks to express both the movement and stillness that echo the natural world and provide a testament to the effects of time.
