Charlotte Le Brocque
Charlotte Le Brocque is a Sydney-based artist, celebrated for her humorous and expressive ceramic sculptures of animals. Her work brings a light-hearted perspective to life's challenges, aiming to bring joy and levity to herself and her audience. From a young age, Charlotte was determined to pursue an art career, a path supported by her parents and inspired by her grandmother, a self-taught artist. Encouraged by her high school art teacher, she attended the National Art School in Darlinghurst, where she discovered her passion for ceramics. Since graduating in 2013, her work has been recognised for its simplicity and charm.
Charlotte has received the Sabbia Gallery Exhibition Prize and has showcased her work in various group and solo exhibitions, solidifying her place in the ceramic art scene. Notable solo exhibitions include Friends (2020) and Introducing (2017), both held at Martin Browne Contemporary in Paddington, Sydney. She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions at Martin Browne Contemporary, and "Homies" at China Heights, Surry Hills in 2022.
